The British Gloster Gauntlet was a single-seat, biplane fighter of the RAF designed and built by Gloster Aircraft in the 1930s. It was the last RAF fighter to have an open cockpit and the penultimate biplane in service. This is a stunning model, with a length of approx 33.5cm (13") and a wing span of 45.5cm. Finished in silver with light blue upper fuselage, black zig-zag pattern on upper wing surface and fuselage sides, this reproduces the livery of Gauntlet Mk. II Reg. K5358 flown by Sqdn. Leader H. Y. Humphreys, No 17 (F) Squadron, Kenley 1937. A brass nameplate is also provided for 17 Squadron. A real gem!

The finish achieved on this model is just stunning - it oozes quality!???Basically an S2???and presented in the livery of of one???the aircrafted???that bombed the tanker ???Torrey Canyon when it ran aground on the Seven Sisters reef off the Isles of Sicily. To protect the environment???it was decided to attempt to burn off the ships's cargo with air attack as the 'match'.

It's a superb model, measuring 15 - 16" (approx 39cm) in length, has the larger engine nacelles of the S2 but does include the small wing vents present on the S1..

The Sea Hawk was quite a remarkable aircraft, being Hawker's first jet and with unswept wings,??but remained in service long after swept wing fighters had become almost universal. Few models have been made of the Sea Hawk and ours depicts the livery worn at the time of the Suez crisis. This aircraft, WV801, of No. 804 Squadron, Fleet Air Arm, was flown by Lt. P. McKeown, RN, aboard HMS Eagle, Mediterranean, 1956. Exclusively produced for Antics and with only 25 made. Fly Navy! A good sized model, measuring 17??? long x 15 ????? x 2 ????? Amy Johnson was born July 1, 1903, in Hull Yorkshire and lived there until she went to Sheffield University in 1923 to read for a BA. After graduating, she moved on to work as a secretary to a London solicitor where she also became interested in flying. Amy began to learn to fly at the London Aeroplane Club in the winter of 1928-29. Early in 1930, she chose her objective: to fly solo to Australia and to beat Bert Hinkler's record of 16 days. At first, her efforts to raise financial support failed, but eventually Lord Wakefield agreed his oil company should help. Amy's father and Wakefield shared the 600-pound purchase price of a used DH Gypsy Moth (G-AAAH) and it was named Jason after the family business trademark. Amy set off alone in a single engine Gypsy Moth from Croydon on May 5, 1930, and landed in Darwin on May 24, an epic flight of 11,000 miles. She was the first woman to fly alone to Australia

A lovely display model of the Avro Lancaster still flying with the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. A finely crafted model of the first Shorts S23 Empire flying boat, Canopus of 1936.

Ordered for Imperial Airways and to the requirements of the Postmaster General the Short S23 was designed to connect the outposts of the British Empire. These luxury flying boats provided for the carriage of first class mail and first class passengers. 41 S23s were built, serving with British Overseas Airways through WW2, withdrawn in 1947.

The design was adapted for military use as the highly successful Sunderland flying boat of RAF coastal command.
