Revell 1/72 US Navy F14 D Tomcat Air Superiority Fighter (08205)
Finished in standard air defence grey with movable wings giving a folded wingspan 15cm. Length is 25cm and weight 600g. Phoenix missiles - a typical load for a Tomcat - are included. The livery is that of squadron VF-31 (known as the Tomcatters) as based on USS Carl Vinson. The number 200 is carried which was that for the carrier air group commander.

Since the 1970's, the Tomcat has been used by the American Navy to protect its carriers at sea. Two General Electric jet engines push the Tomat to Mach 2, making it a formidable air defence fighter, particularly with its advanced weapons fit which can include 4 Phoenix, 4 Sparrow and 4 Sidewinder air to air missiles covering extra long range, long range & close in combat. Not much chance of getting up close and taking a look.
