The Arrow first flew in 1958 but was controversially cancelled by the Canadian Government. Like the TSR2 the aircraft now has a cult status among enthusiasts. The aircraft was a large high speed interceptor designed to have the range to patrol the huge Canadian northern territories and deter Soviet intrusion. It was a classic bit of Cold War metal surrounded by cloak and dagger goings on! Link for more info:
