G-APIM was built at Weybridge and was delivered new to BEA on 23rd June 1958. In Nov.1971 it was sold to Cambrian Airways which was merged into British Airways on 31st July 1973. Withdrawn from service at Cardiff in April 1982 and stored for two years, it was bought by southern - based British Air Ferries in January 1984. As an acknowledgement to aviation artist and propliner enthusiast Stephen Piercey, the aircraft was named "Viscount Stephen Piercey" and is on display at the Brooklands Museum.
