February 206 release of the Lockheed Super Constellation as operated by KLM - Royal Dutch Airlines from Amsterdam in 1958. As with all Pioneers of Aviation models the undercarriage is modelled in the fixed down position.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines - just about the worlds oldest airline - was formed in 1919 and took delivery of its initial order for 9 Super Constellations from June 1953 and commenced services with the type in August that year on the non stop New York - Amsterdam route, although a refuelling stop was necessary on the rerturn service either at Prestwick or Shannon. | |
