Lockheed Constellation L-749 - BOAC. The Constellation C-69 prototype first flew on 9th January 1943,powered by four Wright piston engines and was designed to meet the requirements of Pan American and Trans-Continental & Western Airlines Corporation (BOAC). This model depicts G-ALAL which was originally delivered to the Irish Airline Eireann in August 1947 and was sold to BOAC in 1948 , it finally ended its days being broken up in Miami , Florida in May 1974.
