This model of the Gloster Meteor F.Mk8 with a wingspan 160mm is diecast and can have the undercarraige up or down.
Following its activities during WW2, no.111 Squadron disbanded in December 1947. On the 2nd December 1953 No.111 Sqn was reformed in its own right as a fighter unit equipped with Meteor F MK8'S at North Weald, Essex, Hunters replaced the Meteors in June 1955 and during this period it provided the RAF's most famous aerobatic team The Black Arrows.
