Hawker Hunter FGA9 - 79 Sqd XG228. During the Hunters service in the RAF , it equipped a total of 30 RAF fighter squadrons and was exported to 19 other nations. XG228 was the last operational Hunter to serve with the RAF, last seeing service with 79 Squadron ,1 Tactical Weapons Unit at Brawdy ,South Wales , until being retired in 1984 and scrapped three years later. It first flew on 2nd October 1956 as an F. Mk.6. and joined No.92 Squadron.
