The Swiss Air Force’s national aerobatic team, “La Patrouille Suisse” (Swiss Patrol) was founded in 1964 and operated six smoke-equipped Hawker Hunter F.Mk.58s from Dubendorf Air Base. There are 6 pilots and 1-2-reserve members. The leader chooses one of three different programmes, depending on the weather conditions, which lasts 16 minutes and only about 5-6 displays were undertaken each year. “Patrouille Suisse” made their UK debut at the International Air Tattoo at Greenham Common, Berkshire in July 1979
