VX-4 Sqn. U. S. Navy ' Bicentennial Special ' 1976.
Air Development Squadron Four (VX-4) is the US Navy's Operational Test and Evaluation Unit, based at Point Mugu, California. In 1976 all US Armed Forces were permitted to decorate one of their aircraft from each unit in a special Bicentennial livery.
The model faithfully depicts that special scheme, complete without serial number or designation painted on the aircraft.
