Handley Page Victor - XL511 - 55 Sqn - Battle Scarred - Falklands Originally conceived as a bomber, the Handley page victor was subsequently converted to the tanker and in flight refuelling role. XL511's most important role was to refuel the Vulcan's involved in the `Black Buck' bombing of Stanley airport in the Falklands campaign. It also refuelled the first Nimrod mission off the Argentine coast. Wingspan 255mm
