Corgi 1/32 Hawker Sea Hurricane IB Shuttleworth Collection (AA35504)

Striking and large model of a Sea Hurricane as flying from HMS Indomitable in the Indian Ocean, May 1942. The Hurricane was also used at sea on CAM ships - catapult assisted take off and ditching in the sea at the end of the mission. Can be displayed with the undercarriage up or down.

Model Wingspan 385mm - thats a big 15"

The restoration of this Hurricane was progressing slowly until a formal agreement was reached between the Imperial War Museum and the Shuttleworth Collection, which meant Z7015 would be restored by the same team that restored the Collection's Spitfire. Restoration started in earnest in February 1986, and led to the first flight of the Worlds only Sea Hurricane on September 16th 1995.
