The Aviation Archive was was launched in 1998 but for Corgi's 50th the company has decided to commemorate the range with four re-modelled releases, each depicted as it would have appeared on a WWII airfield, being mounted on a very nice display plinth and with a figure of the pilot standing nearby. A reproduction set of pilot notes that the aitrcraft would have carried is also included.
Sqn Ldr Peter Townsend's Hurrricane was VY-Q of No. 85 Squadron.
