Vought Corsair - Capt. James N Cupp VMF-213 was equipped with Corsais in the spring of 1943. With 13 kills Cupp was one of the highest scoring aces of this outfit, downing a `betty' and a `Zero' with this aircraft. He was shot down in September '43, surviving but requiring 14 operations and 18 months in hospital. | |
