Contains a Land Rover Defender Marine Section and a Ford Granada Traffic Patrol Car.

This three car set depicits the MGB used by the Lancashire Constabulary, they employed more than sixty MGB's of which forty were painted in white with the remainder painted in Black. Standard level drivers used the black cars whilst the white cars were reserved for advanced drivers. A couple of the white cars were later repainted with the lower half of the body finished in bright orange to help make the cars stand out in adverse weather conditions.

The versatile Land Rover has been put to many uses in Police hands, including this 'go anywhere' Dog Section patrol car as included with this set. The Sierra Cosworth 4x4 also included has been described by more than one Police driver as the perfect traffic car as it was large enough to carry the equipment needed but nimble enough to work well in high speed situations.

The Durham Constabulary were one of several forces that were asked by the home office to experiment with a black and white livery on its traffic division cars, similair in style to that used in the USA.

PSNI Rover MGZT 190bhp liveried car used by the Road Policing Unit based at Ballymena, Co.Antrim, N.Ireland. This vehicle has been tuned for Police use and is fitted with an automatic number plate reader also a Tracker is fitted to track stolen vehicles.

The Astra has been the standard issue section car of the Greater Manchester Police for some years. The force designed the distinctive blue roof livery to aid aerial recognition, an important feature in today's intergrated Police force.

The MkI Ford Escort was an extremely popular beat panda car and was used by most the forces all over the country. The Stirling and Clackmannon Police were formed in 1949 and in 1975 due to reorganisation become part of the Central Scotland Police.

The Special Escort Group (SEG) of the  Metropolitan Police is a specialist unit whose job it is to escort almost anything that requires some kind of protection; wheter that be VIPs, high value loads, Category A prisoners or something else that needs to get through traffic without hinderance. Range Rovers are ideal for this work because of their power, strength and visibility.

The Hampshire Constabulary used the MkIII Cortina as its divisional area car and employed dozens of them in this role. This particular car was based at Southsea Police Station, one of three stations in Portsmouth City. It had the call sign of Kilo-Sierra Five-One and this call sign still exists today and is used by the current area car for that station.

As the Hillman Imp was built in Linwood, Scotland, it was obviously a first choice vehicle for panda car duties in the area. One of the forces that used the Imp was the Renfrew & Bute Constabulary who chose this very unusual colour scheme for their vehicles, which certainly stood out well. In May 1975 the force ceased to exist when it was merged with several other constabulary's to form the Strathclyde Police.

The Merseyside Police was the only force in the UK to use both MkI and MkII sporting Escorts on it's traffic fleets. The MkI Mexico was used as an urban traffic car and to pursue stolen vehicles if they failed to stop. Merseyside relationship with Ford was so good that it even trialled the only four door Mexicos ever built

With its unrivalled on-road and off-road capability and command driving position the Range Rover has long been the vehicle of choice for numerous police authorities around the world. Cambridgeshire Police currently use two range Range Rovers in their vehicle fleet.

The Royal Parks Constabulary are resposible for the policing of Londons Royal Parks, including St James, Hyde and Regent's Parks. Due to the vast open spaces the force operates a large mounted section and this Land Rover and horsebox unit is one of several to be used.

What better car to make motocyclists behave themselves than the Cosworth Sierra. The Isle of Man is world famous for the TT races, and the island attracts thousands of bikers every year. The Cossie was one of the very few cars to have gained respect from the biking community because it was almost as fast as their bikes.

The West Midlands Police were one of the few forces ever to employ the Princess as a traffic patrol car, perhaps because they were built at the Longbridge factory on the outskirts of Birmingham, which was within the forces jurisdiction. This particular car was one of two based at Walsall Police Station and had the call sign Hotel-Tango 2.

The Mklll Cortina was a very popular police car in 2000GT guise, however police spec GT's were often trimmed to the lowest interior specification, as it was not deemed important for officers to enjoy creature comforts such as reclining seats! The Lancashire Police ran a large fleet of Mklll Cortinas and used them as suburban traffic cars.
