The Dragon Warbirds range now offers one of these four-engine KC-135E Stratotankers in its diverse range. The model is beautifully produced with an impeccable finish in a typical blue colour scheme, with appropriate “United States of America” markings. Naturally, the scale replica includes the flying boom apparatus at the rear of the aircraft, which is the primary means of transferring fuel. The strategically important Stratotanker can carry over 90,000kg of transfer fuel, but the catch is that each air refuelling aircraft costs around US$40 million. No such problems with this Warbird miniature, though - it’s compact, lightweight and costs less than a fraction of the original Staratotanker! A necessary addition to any modeller’s collection, to help keep all those other models in the air! | |
